Help change
how impact is funded
Pay What It Takes is working to end the starvation cycle in Australia’s for-purpose sector by changing how the true cost of impact is understood, communicated and funded.
That kind of systemic change takes more than agreement. It takes people who are ready to start conversations, share what they know and help others put full-cost funding into practice.
BECOME A PWIT AMBASSADOR
PWIT Ambassadors are a trusted network of people across Australia and New Zealand who work alongside the PWIT Co-Chairs and Steering Committee to grow the movement. Ambassadors represent the breadth and depth of our sector: for-purpose organisations, of all sizes, government, intermediaries as well as trustees and funders.
Depending on your experience, interests and availability, you might:
speak about PWIT in formal or informal settings, including online
contribute to, lead or assist in the delivery of presentations, meetings, panels, events or conferences
connect funders, intermediaries and for-purpose organisations with PWIT resources
contribute to focus groups, research or sector feedback
identify useful research, articles, case studies and other resources to share with the PWIT community.
Ambassadorship is a voluntary role designed to work around your capacity, and we invite interested ambassadors to participate in an introductory online training program.
Following the launch of the Ambassador Program in 2026, a Community of Practice has now commenced to allow ambassadors and interested participants to further learning and development, and progress the adoption of PWIT throughout the sector.
The PWIT Community of Practice will be hosted online at least every two months, and designed as a forum to connect, receive updates and share what is happening as well as feedback from across the sector.
If you believe in funding organisations for what it truly takes to create impact, we’d like to hear from you.
